Have you ever noticed how when life is quiet, stress is low and things are going as planned you make better decisions and feel more present, calm and clear?
You eat better,
Move your body more,
Put your cute clothes on,
Maybe wear some makeup and style your hair.
All these things can improve the way you feel about your body and the thoughts you have about your body (the definition of body-image).
I’ve struggled with my body-image since I was 14 years old.
It began with eating disorders, turned into over exercising, turned into plastic surgery (breast implants and lip filler), turned into taking diet pills and diuretics, turned into chasing a look in hopes to be happy my body and my (at the time) messy life.
I began to notice that when I implemented the basics into my daily routine, the way I felt about my body changed and I began to experience more confidence that wasn’t dependent upon how I looked, my weight or what I was wearing.
In case you’re struggling with your body-image, mood or confidence, try implementing as many of these things into your life as you can:
• Get outside as much as you can. Plant those toes deep in the dirt and take three big inhales,
• Unfollow accounts that promote diet or body extremes,
• Do one EFT session each morning before starting your day (I have a few on my YouTube channel and on here),
• Visualize yourself in your best shape and confident,
• Choose something colorful, flirty and fun to wear,
• Move your body (lift weights, run, skate, swim, yoga, etc.)
• Create a vision board that embodies a mood and body you’re going for,
• Seek out support from others who help women improve their body-image 🙋🏻♀️,
• Set boundaries with people who talk about your body and weight,
• Have compassion on yourself and give yourself grace for slacking for so long,
• Think of 10 things you appreciate about your body,
I’d love to hear which ones you’ll start today, which ones you already do and which ones you think will be the hardest but you’re willing to try.
And remember,
Beauty standards are flawed – not you. 💋
